The Tirana Penal Court continued the witness hearing session in the
trial against the former National Guard Commander, Ndrea Prendi; the
National Guard officer, Agim Llupo, and Margarit Kume.
National Guard soldier Alfred Ahmetcenaj underlined that the national Guard had no order to shoot and that the agents were obliged to shoot after the behavior of the crowd.
The National Guard officer says that unknown people have threatened the lives of the soldiers, with phrases like “drop your weapons”, “we will kill you”, “don’t shoot”, etc. The National Guard soldier declared that they felt threatened after these words.
“In the moment when the car entered the Prime Minister’s door, we heard that it would explode and that it had dynamite in the luggage. While around midday I saw the commander with a black eye”, the witness declared.
