The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, was summoned at the General Prosecution
to testify for more than three hours about the January 21st
investigations, for the criminal charge “organizing and participating in
illegal manifestations”.
The Prosecution had also summoned the two other Socialist MPs, Tom Doshi and Besnik Bare.
After giving his declaration about the January 21st protest organization, Balla asked the Prosecution to investigated the ones who ordered the shootings against the unarmed civilians.
“I informed the prosecutors for the January 21st organization, and I appeal Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha to make their moral and political duty and explain the January 21st murders, as I appeal the Prosecution to summon Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha as the authors of the January 21st killings. Together with my colleagues, we are ready to help the Prosecution with all the necessary information regarding the January 21st tragedy”, Balla declared.
The Socialist MP gave his declaration to Prosecutor Alfred Progonati, in presence of lawyer Koli Bele, who explained the procedural side of this investigation phase.
“Balla was asked as a person under investigation. This investigation is necessary for understanding the dynamics of the events, although delayed”, declared Koli Bele.
