Janitor will not withdraw sexual harassment accusations

Miranda Shuli, mother of a 3-year-old daughter and expecting her second child, lost her job and is know sued of defamation. She lives in the Drithas village, Libonik commune. A few days ago she reported the Head of the Commune of sexual harassment.

The Head of Commune denied everything and sued her of defamation, saying that she has other goals. The 27-year-old woman used to work as a janitor in a local school. She tells her version about how she lost her job.

“The Head of the Commune kept harassing me with words, until he threatened to fire me. It is true that I am poor, but I also live in honor”, the 27-year-old declared.

Miranda lives with only 8000 ALL in this building with her family. The poverty has increased even more after her husbands went to prison for several months, after a fight with her mother. Now the entire family lives with her mother’s pension.

“I want justice. I want to work with honor. I don’t have to be fire unjustly”, the 27-year-old says.

The Head of the Commune, Petrit Kupe, has been reported for sexual harassment this Monday morning. He has answered back with a lawsuit for defamation.
