The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga and her Serbian homologue,
Tomislav Nikolic, could meet soon for then dialogue between Prishtina
and Belgrade.
The news was reported from the Kosovo daily “Express”, which states that Brussels is working for realizing the meeting in the next October.
The newspaper that quotes international sources says that the Head of the EU Foreign Policy, Catherine Ashton, is preparing to meet the two Balkan leaders in an EU country.
“Ashton expressed her desire to meet the two leaders in an European country, which means that the meeting will not take place in New York, during the UN General Assembly”, the newspaper quotes its source.
Serbia is expected to bring an extended team for the Kosovo dialogue, and a plan based on the needs of their country.
On August, Nikolic will take the mandate for leading the dialogue.
In this debate there will be representatives from the opposition and the Serbian team will have a negotiator in several levels. The advises of the former Head of Dialogue, Borislav Stefanovic will be welcomed, although the presidency has accused him of holding hidden talks.
