37 people have been handcuffed, accused of being part of an international drug trafficking ring.
The arrests were carried out by Italian police, in co-operation with Albanian authorities.
It is learned that during the operation, about 3 and a half tons of drugs such as marijuana, hashish and cocaine were seized.
Based on what the Italian police reports, the market value of the seized drugs reaches the figure of 40 million euros. The police operations were also extended to Italian cities of Foggia, Lecce, Bologna, Rome, Naples and Catanzaro.
