47 year old Mimoza Lugjaj was arrested near Milano. The Albanian citizen was
wanted from Interpol after the Albanian
Police released an arrest order on her account.
Police explains that they had been looking for her for 8 years. In December 2002 she had stolen a considerable amount of money from the Court of Kavaja, where she worked. After that she had disappeared outside Albania.
In 2003 she was sentenced in absence by Court of Kavaja to 5 years in prison.
The investigators had been following a lead from April 2011. They have tracked Mimoza until they were able to arrest her before leaving to any other area of Italy.
After being identified, Mimoza Lugjaj, borned in Peshkopi, was arrested by the Police and now is waiting extradition in the prison of Vercelli, Italy.
