A team of doctors from the Panico di Tricase hospital, made of
cardiologist Gabriele De Masi De Luca and nurse Salvatore Galati have
arrived at the Rreshen hospital, northern Albania, known as an area with
poor medical conditions.
The young cardiologist decided to bring the necessary instruments in Rreshen for visits, mainly to younger patients. The doctor from Salento will come once a year to visit children who need medical treatment.
“I have strongly believed on this initiative. I found support from the Salento Faber association, which takes care of children in similar areas for a long time now. I believe that by working in our profession for those who need it most, we are only doing our duty. Not everyone has the good chance to make frequent visits”, the cardiologist said.
