The Italian architect, Stefano Boeri, said that Tirana will have five
road rings, nine centers and will be surrounded by a green belt so that
the city can grow with nature.
Boeri comes to Tirana with concrete propositions:
“There are a series of propositions that help turn Tirana into a greener city, oriented towards electric mobility. One of the most interesting ideas is the creation of a ring road for bicycles and pedestrians, which does not allow cars. This may be connected with a square that may be built by the ending of the boulevard. The square will show the geopolitical history of Tirana”, Boeri declared.
Boeri proposes to move all sees of international institutions and embassies by getting them closer to the Durres port and the Tirana airport.
Boeri says that another ring road should serve to the 20 schools that the municipality plans to build in the future, and which will serve to all age groups.
“Let’s build a forest that surrounds Tirana. Tirana must not grow by taking over nature and green space”, the Italian architect declared.
These ideas will be proposed in a conference this Tuesday. Boeri says that every opinion will be taken in consideration.
