In parallel with the Distribution System, the Ministry of Energy has
started investing the new national center that manages energy fluxes, a
23 million EUR investment funded through a loan from the Italian
Cooperation.
“It will manage the entire electric-energetic system in Albania. It is in full coordination with the strategy that will be complete by 2020. Albania will be integrated in the regional and european network of energy. It means that it is integrated with the lines of Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece and Montenegro”, declared the Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri.
“23 million EUR in total not only for the building, but also for the Skada system, which includes part of the elements that have been installed in substations”, explained Engjell Zeqo, Administrator at the Transmission Operator.
