“It’s a great honor and privilege for me to accept the duty as prefect
of Vlore. I see the entire team making possible the revival of Vlore and
Albania. We will all work together to realize it”.
This was the declaration of the Vlore Prefect, Besnik Dervishi, on October 12th during the ceremony of presentation.
After an explosive was found in his vehicle, the question that the investigators are trying to resolve is: is there any relation between this and the city of Vlore? Is this related to his work as prefect?
Prosecutors have no answers, while Top Channel asked the Vlore Prosecution if the prefect has ever filed any complain for any conflict.
The answer was that the prefect has made no reports. The same answer comes from the Tirana Prosecution and also from the Prosecution General.
However, the Prosecution suspects that the explosive might be related to what is happening in the city of Vlore, since he was traveling from there to Tirana.
Although this was a version that remains to be seen, passed on the evidence that will be uncovered during the investigation, it is not excluded that the explosive might have been placed as a message.
The SIM card results without an owner. Prosecutors hope that the cell-phone might give any hint about the owner.
The Prefect has been an Parliament Member of the Socialist Party, prefect of Tirana, Minister of Territory Regulation, Judge and Legal Consultant.
