Two months after he left the holding cells as the main suspect for the
murder of his wife, Eleni Basho, the Prosecution has suspended the
investigations against Ilia Basho, for absence of evidence.
Prosecutor Etien Kapo says that he decided to suspend the investigations since there are no evidence proving that he has committed the crime and that he is relieved from all obligations to appear in court.
Contacted by telephone, the defending lawyer declared that they will ask a compensation from the state for Ilia’s unjust imprisonment for several months.
The Prosecutor declared that Eleni Baho was killed a few meters from he house door and that she had been attacked by an armed man who shot her twice.
Several persons have been interrogated, according to the Prosecutor, including Yllka Shehaj who admitted the affair with Ilia Basho.
The prosecutor said that Basho never admitted the crime, and that he is free of any charge since there are no evidence.
