While the Court of Tirana will soon cast lots about the judges who will
work with the 15 defendants of the Bank of Albania theft case, the
Prosecution is expected to postpone the investigations for three other
months, especially for the case of Ardian Fullani and three other
defendants.

Prosecution sources say that the deadline for the investigations of Ardian Fullani end on October 21st, together with Ardian Bitraj, Mimoza Bruzia and Klevis Bejtja. This is why the Proscution needs to come out with a decision on that date, which might be postponed to January 21st. But this doesn’t mean that the investigative actions will take that long, since investigators have other procedures yet to finalize.

The most important operation done by the Prosecutors for the moment is related to the phone conversation, in an attempt to find out what Bitraj has communicated four months before he was arrested for the theft of 713 million ALL.

Prosecutors have also seized the travel records of the former Bank of Albania Governor, Ardian Fullani, who is currently under house arrest. The Prosecutors have also found another case against him, regarding a power abuse with some investment funds. The Supreme Court is also waiting for the Fullani case, which has not decided yet about who will check the Prosecution’s request for returning the former Governor to prison.
