Investigation for terror acts

The government asked all cell phone companies to close all unidentified phone numbers, or the excessive numbers registered under one single name.

The usage of these numbers for dynamite attacks has turned into a real problem for the police, which is investigating.

“This matter is under investigation and we cannot give conclusions. This method has been used in several cases and our concern has increased. Besides the concrete investigations that will lead us to those who are responsible, we need to cut the easy access to illegal means”, declared Fran Rica, head of the Economic Crime Sector.

The high-rank police officer declared that they have started a wide action,

“We are investigating all informal markets and we have seized hundreds of phone numbers that belonged to unlicensed people. All these people are being investigated. We are investigating not only for these people, but also for companies or employees who are involved in this activity. We will see if we are facing a VAT fraud, because there might be abuses”, Rica declared.
