Investigation for police appointments rejected

The Democratic Party accused the majority of protecting their ties with
the crime by installing criminals at the State Police. The Democratic
Party Parliamentary Group leader, Edi Paloka, launched this accusation
after the majority at the Conference of Chairmen refused to establish an
Investigative Commission for the legitimacy of State Police
appointments.

“The majority rejected it with the justification that we have never had investigative commissions for such issues”, Paloka declared.

The Democrats asked the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior to answer publicly for two appointments at the Vlore Police and the Durres Police.

“The Interior Minister and the Prime Minister need to make transparency as soon as possible for two horrible facts that have been discovered recently. The soldier of Zan Caushi, who has been appointed Chief of the anti-drug unit, and for the Head of the Police District and his ties with the businessman who is suspected as the man who ordered a murder in Durres. We are talking about the Head of the Police District who refused to take the testimony of the man that uncovered the network of paid executions”, Paloka declared.

For the Democratic Party, the silence for both cases, and the rejection in Parliament are shocking indicators for the government.

“It shows that this government is not only tied with the crime, but it is unfortunately being led by the crime”, Paloka declared.
