International operation against drug traffic, 31 Albanians arrested

An international police operation was held between Albania, Italy,
Germany and Spain, which brought 38 arrests, 31 of whom Albanians.
Authorities seized 130 kg of cocaine and heroin.

“The investigation have started in 2014, when police seized 43 kg of heroine. Since then, until May 24th, 2016, they cooperated for the destruction of the drug traffic. The State Police say that the criminal activity of this criminal gang was mainly concentrated in Northern Italy.

“After a joint plan with the police forces of serveral countries, we held a joint operation with our partners in Italy, Spain, Germany and Morocco. Criminal elements were hit in Monza, Brianza, Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Como, Genova, Rieti, Torino, Trieste and Vicenza. In Albania, police executed arrest orders in Tirana, Durres, Gramsh, Elbasan, Fier and Kavaja”, said the Chief of the State Police, Ardian Cipa.
