International community condemns hate speech in Albanian politics

Their declarations in support of the Interior Ministry and Police came right after these terror acts also turned into a political debate, with the DP insinuating that the attacks are product of the political games with the crime, and accused that more than a reaction of the crime, this is an border crossing between the police and criminal gangs, borders that, according to the opposition, are not different anymore.

But this hate speech is used every day in conference rooms and parliament, for every event, and it has not left indifferent the two main diplomatic sees. Both used a direct language, and although they didn’t mention the opposition, they found a way to express their opposition to this behavior.

While the opposition accused the Minister and the Police, the US have supported the Ministry and the Police. The EU said that the attacks are unacceptable and asked the opposition to stop using it in politics.

UIt remains to be seen how the Democratic Party will react to these strong stances of the US and the EU.
