The Ministry of Interior appeals the political parties to report the
incidents they may have seen. The Deputy Minister of Interior, Elena
Gjebrea, said that all measures have been taken for guaranteeing the
electoral process.

“The Ministry of Interior and the State Police appeal political parties and candidates to distance themselves from any effort that aims to stain the regular electoral process and contribute in guaranteeing free and honest elections, by allowing the institutions, the Prosecution and Police, to do their professional and impartial duty”, Gjebrea declared.

The Deputy Minister said that every political declaration made in public but not in front of the lkaw enforcing institutions, will only aim to create panic and stain the electoral process.

As for the incidents during the campaign, Mrs.Gjebrea says 21 citizens have been taken, suspected of having ties with these events.

“The suspect for the Vore incident was taken to the police before issuing a declaration ofr the media. The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, has communicated constantly with the candidate of the DP and other representatives of tis party in this area, in order to guarantee a thorough respecting of the law. But so far there has been no legal report submitted by the Democratic Party at the police. The Police invites the candidate once again to make the report”, Gjebrea declared.
