Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj received today the Great Britain Minister of State for Security , Ben Wallace.
Both Ministers discussed about increasing cooperation in the fight against organized crime. Minister Xhafaj told Mr.Wallace that the priorities of his work are fight against cannabis cultivation and promotion of police integrity by expanding the Vetting Law to the State Police as well.
The two ministers discussed about security matters, involving both countries. Minister Wallace considered the partnership with Albania as one of the most successful. Both parties agreed to have three British officers in Albania, permanently, to exchange experience and improve the quality of information. There will also be several trainings for the State Police.
By request of Minister Xhafaj, the British Minister expressed their readiness to offer assistance with the Security Academy.
