Interior Minister reacts about US State Department report

The Deputy Minister of Interior, Elona Gjebrea, declared that the report
of the US State Department has valued positively the work of the police
as regards the human traffic issue. She said that those who criticize
the police, must have a better look at the report.
“The report lists more than 22 concrete achievements of the government and the Interior Ministry in the fight against human traffic. Our country left the list of countries under watch, and is now listed among the countries who have increased their efforts to implement the law against traffic. During the past government, Albania has been twice in the list of countries under watch. This gives an understanding of the work that has been done. Those who shout today about stndards simply show that they haven’t read the report and don’t know the classification criteria of the Palermo protocol”, declared Elona Gjebrea, the Deputy Interior Minister.
