Interior Minister admits problems with the Elbasan Police behavior

One week after the incident with the Elbasan Police, the Minister of
Interior reminded the names of the problematic families in the city.
Xhafaj said that their history of conflicts starts since 2005. As for the September 18th incident, Xhafaj admitted that the footage showed that there is a problem with the behavior of the police.
“I ordered a detailed analyze of the situation in this city. I have ordered the main investigation not only for the specific situation, but for the entire problematic”, the Interior Minister declared in Parliament.
Xhafaj underlined that the Internal Service for Complaints and the Directory of Professional Standards is also investigating.
As for the Police vetting, the Interior Minister said it will be even stronger than before, in order to hit criminal assets.
