Prime Minister Edi Rama, present today at the National Integration Council, said that we are still far from the EU integration final goal, but if we look behind we are a lot closer to it.
“This is a process we need like the light or water, in order to make Albania a state with EU standards. It is a process that we are committed to because the future of our children requires it, as does the process of state formation “, he said.
“11 years after the application and 6 years after receiving candidate status we are ready to open this new page. It is a phase with more tasks, challenges that require energy and cooperation, but one thing can be said without hesitation, that when we look at the process we are still far from the final goal, but when we turn our heads back we see that today we are closer than ever to the EU”, stated Rama among other things.
