Institutions guarded by army as police is engaged in guarding polling stations

Starting from this Friday evening, the army has taken over to guard the foreign embassies, which are considered objects of special importance.

The decision was taken after a discussion between the Interior and Defense Ministers.

The army is also guarding the Prime Minister’s Office, ministries, residences of diplomats, the Supreme and Constitutional Courts.

The armed forces will be on standby until the electoral process will be concluded.

This practice is followed in all elections.
