INSTAT reports negative exports figures in July

National Statistics Institute reported a drop on exports figures for July, blaming it to the drastic shrinking of oil and energy exports. According to INSTAT, last month exports were 2.6% lower than the same period last year, while reporting a decrease of 7.1% comparing the first 7 months of 2014 and 2015.
Minerals and oil export figures have suffered the most and INSTAT says excluding those two from calculations there is an increase of exports on other goods.
On the other hand, imports have increased 0.6% from last year, but INSTAT views it as a positive figure, because most of imports have been on heavy machineries that are used in new investments in the Albanian economy.
