The Institution of Statistics reports there is a lower number of the
families covered by the Social Welfare. Official numbers for the second
trimester of this year show a reduction of 1.4% of these families,
compared to the first trimester.
The scheme has 79600 families, 46000 of which were treated with partial economic assistance, and 30.000 with complete economic assistance.
Elbasan has the highest number, 19.7% of the total, and is followed by Dibra with 16%, Kukes with 14.5% and Shkodra with 12.2%.
The families from Tirana make 10.8% of the scheme. From South, Korca has the highest number of 9.8%.
Durres has the lowest, 1.3% of the total, followed by Vlora and Gjirokastra.
