Albanian companies have exported 158 billion ALL of goods from January to July 2017.
According to INSTAT, compared to one year ago, exports have increased with 18 billion ALL, or 12.9%.
Detailed data show that most of the growth derived from construction materials and manufacturing industry. Agricultural exports have also had a positive progress, although their weight was smaller.
This is the first time since 2014 that exports of Albanian companies have grown. INSTAT says that from 2015 to 2016, exports dropped with 13 billion ALL, influenced by the lowered price of crude oil and other minerals in international markets. The drop has stopped this year, while other exports have grown.
The commercial exchange tendency has been almost the same. Imports increased with 20.6 billion ALL during the first seven months of the year, compared to one year ago. They were influenced by imports related to the Trans-Adriatic-Pipeline and electricity, due to the crisis.
This has increased the commercial deficit, the difference between imports and experts, 1.4% higher than one year ago, reaching 192 billion ALL.
