The Mayor of Peshkopia, Ilir Krosi, was sued today for illegal constructions in the territory of his municipality.
The National Inspectorate for Territory Protection reported the Mayor for power abuse. The same accusations were raised against Gafur Gazidede, the Chief Inspector of this Municipality, and agains the Chief Inspectors Halil Zhuka and Dilaver Drizi.
After this news, the Mayor reacted with a public press release.
“I was surprised with the news, because we don’t know that the National Inspectorate for Territory Protection has made this report. They have constantly asked us for the documentation, and we have been very cooperative with everything. In the past for years, our municipality has not issued any construction permit, because we do not have an urban plan. The illegal constructions in question are some small walls that have created more problems between neighbors and families. Some of these breaches are being investigated. However, I am open for transparency”, Krosi declared.
