The Head of the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets,
Shkelqim Ganaj, warned for detailed inspections in all customs and tax
offices, two structures that according to him have not been inspected
for years.
“Former and current officials will be part of the inspection. It is a duty, a norm. No one will be excluded, especially for the fact that the last inspection was done 10 years ago. We will inspect everything from 2003 to day”, Ganaj declared.
The General Directory of Customs and the HIDAA, in cooperation with “Crown Agents”, signed an agreement that allows the inspectorate to go deeper with the inspection, in order to verify any case of corruption.
“This gives the opportunity for a mutual and faster communication, information that is addressed to the respective structures of the General Director of Customs, with the purpose to take disciplinary measures towards the customs personnel which the inspectorate has found of proposed for administrative measures or even that has been reported for criminal charges”, declared the General Director of Customs, Erisa Spiropali.
