Initiative for having Albanian ships repaired at home

Fishing ships in Albania will be allowed to make their repairs in our country.

The Minister of Agriculture, roland Kristo, said that private operators who will open shipyards in Durres, Vlora and Shengjin, will receive government support through “1-eur-contracts”.

Most of the ships are currently being repaired in Italy. Our country has only 450 shipping vessels, but this sector is expected to receive more support from the EU, for its modernization.
