Doctors raise the alarm that there is an increase of infective diseases
that are spread by mosquitoes, such as encephalitis, hemorrhagic fever
and other infective and sexually transmittable diseases.

According to the doctor, the only diseases that have been disappeared are those included in the vaccination calendar.

“The recent 2-3 years have shown an increase of the Nile infection cases, which are accompanied with hemorrhagic fevers and other infections that are sexually transmittable. Their management cannot count only for the parameters, because you cannot speak with an indicator about the infective diseases”, declared Arjan Harxhi.

A patient with hemorrhagic fever is being treated at hospital, who arrived in very bad conditions.

The doctors appealed the citizens to be careful by mosquitoes, with the temperature increase, which are the main transmitters of these diseases.

“This could be a sporadic case, but it could be an indicator that the diseases are spreading. This case comes from Southern Albania, which we consider as endemic for hemorrhagic cases”, Harxhi underlined.
