High temperatures have increased the number of patients with
gastrointestinal infections. 100 to 120 people address the ER with
diarrhea, vomits, fever, etc.
“We don’t have enough staff with more than 100 cases a day”, says professor doctor Arjan Harxhi.
Based on the high number of patients, doctors say the main reason may be badly preserved food and beverages.
Harxhi appeals citizens to be careful with processed food and hygienic conditions.
“If not sure that tap water is clean, citizens should consume bottled water. They should also be careful with the food quality and the way how it is processed.
