Incidents before elections

24 hours before the official start of the electoral process, incidents
have been registered in several areas of the country. A Socialist Party
commissioner in Nange village, Bicaj Commune of the Kukes district has
been attacked in his house garden by four people who hit him with gun
barrels and threatened him to not talk.

“I was attacked with gun barrels and told me that they would kill me if I talked. Flamur and his men must know that my blood will not go in vain. It took place today at 04:10”, Mr.Hereni declared.

The Kukes police has not given an official version of this attack.

Another incident was recorded in Peshkopia where a group of the Democratic Party militants shot with fire guns against a Socialist Party electoral unit.

This is confirmed by the leader of the Socialist Party for this district, Ulsi Manja, who is candidate for the Diber District.

“There were shots. We stopped our meeting and went to the electoral headquarters urgently. There we saw Democratic Party militants near the electoral headquarters. We saw stains of blood and bullet holes on the doors. The incident was initiated by the Director of CEZ Distribution in Diber, member of the Democratic Party, Gafurr Gazidede, and the Director of the Tax Office, Artan Selishta”, Manja declared.

According to Manja, this attack comes after the loss feeling that the Democratic Party feels in this area.

One day ago, unidentified people have placed a quantity of explosive in the house of the Democratic Party leader in Shkoder, Astrit Bushati.

The explosive was placed in the first floor of the building, causing material damages. The police has taken several people under custody, but without finding an author or motivations.
