The Democratic Party has held several protests against Prime Minister
Rama, but this time, their leader Lulzim Basha spoke about a big
decision, putting some mystery to today’s protests.

“This will be a big celebration of democracy, the most direct expression of the citizens will to end evil. We will take together a decision for free and fair elections. And we will take this decision right there, together with citizens”, Basha said.

Democratic Party supporters relate this decision to an effort for making Prime Minister Rama resign. The opposition has been accusing the Prime Minister of not having the will to realize free and fair elections. However, for today’s protest, all we know about is the time when it will start.

“The protest will start at 12:00. Citizens will decide when it will end. It will certainly end with victory of the civil cause”, Basha said.

Another decision that has been taken, is that today’s protest should be peaceful.

“I invite every citizen to join us in this big popular meeting, a celebration for every citizen. Let’s come together with the unbeaten force of united citizens. A peaceful force, which must be shown with men and women, boys and girls and with the families of everyone. We will be with our families. It will be a big protest and together we will open a new door for Albania and for the life of every Albanian”, Basha added.
