IMF urges Albanian government to take measures for hidden debts

The International Monetary Fund urges the Albanian government to pay the remaining debts to businesses and bring this economy-hurting phenomenon to an end.

IMF says that the hidden debts that the Albanian government has to private concessions ahs reached 200 million, 140 from the central government and the rest owed by local governments.

The IMF says that most of the unpaid debts are unpaid VAT to businesses which damage the economic activity the same way as in 2013.
