IMF: “Albania’s economic growth at 3.7%, highest in the region

The IMF said that the economies with higher growth this year are those
coming from armed conflicts, Libya with 13.7% and Yemen with 12.6%.

Both countries have suffered huge economic losses during the past years, due to wars, and they hope to recover some of it during 2017.

Another African economy will be on the third spot, the Ivory Coast, with 7.9%, Myanmar and India come fourth and fifth, with respectively 7.7 and 7.6 percent.

China, one of the economies with the highest growth, has went down to the 15th spot, to 6.1%.

The list goes on with other developing economies, with Albania among them, ranked 75th among 190 world countries. The IMF foresees that Albania’s GDP will growth with 3.7% this year.

Southern Sudan and Equatorial Guinea will be the countries with the lowest growth, with their economy shrinking to 6% and 5.8% respectively, and then Venezuela, which will lose 4.5%.
