The judges that will take Ilir Meta’s case were chosen by lot at the
Supreme Court, but with the jurisdiction of First Degree Court. The
former vice Prime Minister and also former Minister of Energetics, Ilir Meta,
is accused of active corruption of high rank state
officials.

The team of judges is headed by Ardian Dvorani, and the other members are Besnik Imeraj, Arjana Fullani, Gani Dizdari and Guxim Zenelaj. The Supreme Court announced that these judges will process the case with the demand of the General Prosecution.

The scandal video broadcasted on Top-Channel’s program “Fiks Fare”, which shows Ilir Meta and his former subordinate Dritan Prifti discussing about corruptive affairs, spurred political debates with pretenses that the video was edited.

Foreign experts hired by the General Prosecution concluded that the video was not edited, putting Meta in the bank of the accused. No date has been assigned yet for the beginning of this process in the Supreme Court. This court has decided to judge on May 23rd Meta’s request of declaring the video expertise proofs invalid.
