Valbona Carcani, a 46 mother of two daughters, was killed today by her
husband while she was returning to the house she had rented after the
divorce with her husband.
Witnesses say that Valbona sought help but no one was there to save her life. Her husband, Genc Carcani, born in Tirana, has left the scene very quietly and police arrested him immediately.
A relative of the victim says for Top Channel that the couple has lived for years in Italy and had recently returned to Tirana, where their marriage also ended.
An eye witness said that she heard the cries for help, but no one was there to save the woman.
The couple had been divorced two years ago after a marriage that lasted 20 years, The suspect declared for the police that he had discussed with Valbona and stabbed her for jealousy.
He was arrested by the Shqiponja Police forces who were informed by an eye witness.
Although the suspect was arrested immediately, Valbona’s body has stayed on the road for more than one hour, due to the delay of the coroner who had to make the necessary procedures.
