The German Ambassador in our country, Helmut Hoffman, declared that it
is very important to open the files of the Albanian Secret Service, but
this could create problems.
“Cooperation is needed for this. The past must be remembered”, Hoffman declared in a meeting of the civil society that was organized especially for this issue that is being discussed since Saturday, when the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, warned the opening of files.
The Democratic Party MP, Mesila Doda, declared that politics should be coherent with all of its promises. This is the time for history to be written and accepted by everyone.
“The request for opening the files is the first step of this process. We need to see the past, and the majority needs to use its votes for this process”, Doda declared.
The leader of the Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity, Shpetim Idrizi, underlined that the files should open to see the horrible mechanisms of the former secret service.
“Only by looking the truth in the eyes we will be able to leave the past”, Idrizi declared.
