What are social classes? How do they make us what we are? To answer these questions, UK artist Grayson Perry traveled in the UK, meeting people from different social classes.
He weaved the story of how British people perceive class, taste and prestige in six tapestries full of details, colors and characters, which he painted with the British sarcasm in the display that British Council brings in Tirana, to conclude a Balkan Tour.
Rubens Shima, curator, said that the wonder of ancient crafts, such as weaving, is full of sarcasm pointed to many special features of the British identity: working class, middle class and high class.
The public will be able to watch Perry’s tapestry display from November 2nd to December 5th at the National Art Gallery.
