The acceleration of the Albanian economy in the third trimester, and also the revitalization of bank credit, have increased the government’s optimism for the economic growth in 2020.
The Minister of Finances, Anila Denaj, declared that the economic growth will be back at 4% during the next year.
She listed the reasons that lead the government towards this expectancy.
Denaj declared that another stimulus for the economy, during the next year, comes from the state budget, which holds a high level of public investments while it preserves the fiscal discipline.
Besides the investments, the budget is expected to inject around 200 million USD in the economy through the reconstruction program.
The two Deputy Ministers of Finances explained that this money will not be channelized only to citizens, but also to businesses that were damaged by the earthquake.
The economic growth in the third trimester of this year was accelerated by 3.81%, from 2.4% that it was during the first semester. According to the government, this positive tendency will be reinforced even further during the next year.
