The new education law has brought changes on the way how universities will accept students from high schools.

The Minister of Education, Lindita Nikolla, said that high-school graduate exams will be very important for the universities where they will compete.

High-school graduates will compete only for the Academy of Arts and the Academy of Sports. All other universities will publish the basic criteria later this year. As for the recognition of the Kosovo students who have been graduated in universities within Albania, Minister Nikolla said that the Kosovo Ministry of Education does not recognize diplomas from universities that have not been accredited by ENQA, the European Association for Quality in Higher-Education.

Nikolla said she will meet her Kosovo counterpart next week to discuss this legal stalemate.
