High level directors resign to make way for Judiciary Reform

The implementation of the Judiciary reform took a new turn today after the Money Laundering Prevention Director resigned from his duty.

Alket Hyseni has been considered by the opposition of being very close to Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Hyseni declared that since the implementation of the Judiciary Reform is crucial for all Albanians, he is resigning to remove any alibi from those who fear the reform.

The Directory led by Hyseni has a significant role for vetting the wealth of judges and prosecutors, as part of the Judiciary Reform.

Hyseni’s resignation was warned by Top Channel on the day when it was announced that this matter had been discussed by some parliament members and the US ambassador.

Another official who resigned is Arben Seferi, Director of Classified Information.
