Andi Murataj is the only candidate coming from civil society for the High Council of Prosecution, after Altin Hazizaj left the process, affected by the Decriminalization Law.
Fatos Lazimi and Fatmira Luli come from the Chamber of Advocacy for the High Council of the Judiciary. Maksim Qoku and Mirela Bogdani come from university academics, as a candidate for the same council, while Naureda Llagani from the civil society.
For the High Council of the Prosecution, the candidates from the Chamber of Advocacy are Gezim Allaraj and Floreta Gjini; Eneida Sema and Gent Ibrahimi come from academics and Andi Murataj from civil society.
The candidate list for both councils should pass in Parliament with 2/3rd of the votes (93 votes), within 10 days.
This is the second list that was presented to the High Councils of Judiciary and Prosecution, after the opposition rejected the first one, considering it compromised by candidates who would delegitimize the process.
