The High Council of Justice held its first meeting under President Ilir Meta.
The most important discussion point was about the domestic violence. HCJ discussed a report which allows inspecting courts when they issue protection orders for domestic violence victims.
The meeting was held after a Shkoder Judge, Fildez Hafizi, was killed by her husband. By order of President Ilir Meta, the HCJ has started a verification procedure for the verdict taken on April 29th by the Court of Kavaja regarding the killer.
HCJ also discussed the law for passive reevaluation of judges and prosecutors. After the meeting, Meta expressed his will for working hard to implement the judiciary reform.
