Patients with heart problems will receive free services even in private
hospitals. The Director of the Obligatory Health Care Fund, Astrit Beci,
assisted a patient in a private hospital that has signed an agreement
with the Fund.
“We have had five cases so far. We visited one of this centers, contacted with patients to see if they were happy with the service. The services have been given fully and whoever needs other procedures will benefit from the package for the other procedures”, Astrit Beci declared.
There are 150 patients in total who will benefit free cardiology services in private hospitals, who will be distributed equally in five hospitals that have an agreement with the fund.
“The waiting list had 500 patients, 100 will be covered this year and 150 others are coming from this list for the services. This means that the waiting list will be halved within the year”, Beci added.
