Health Ministry: Reduce pollution

On the World Environment Day, the Health Minister, Petrit Vasili,
appealed the municipalities and communes to try and reduce the
environmental pollution by creating green spaces, by reducing traffic
and by increasing care in construction areas, since in this way they
would directly affect the reduction of respiratory diseases.
“The motto for having a global green economy now belongs to everyone. The green economies are the ones that make the economy progress, by valuing the environment abd at the same time by saving lots of expenses. Albania is part of this global environment. 13 million deaths can be avoided each year, according to the World Health Organization, only by creating a healthy environment. A good environmental management could increase the respiratory diseases by 40%, which are the second cause of death in the world”, Minister Vasili declared.
