Health Minister, Ilir Beqja, declared on Top Channel’s morning show
“Wake Up” that during the inspections made in the pharmacies around the
Tirana University Hospital Center, they have identified expired products
on sale.
“We have found medicine supplied to hospitals and that have been expired. This starts with the customs, the way how they have entered”, Beqja declared.
As for the several problems with scanners and other important hospital appliances, Beqja presented the government’s plan against these problems.
“All bio-medical appliances in the public health system should be part of one single public enterprise, and they should offer this service with one single agreement to maintain them”, Beqja declared.
Minister Beqja confirmed that from seven scanners at the TUHC, two don’t work while a third one is undergoing maintenance.
