Health, Kosova: Tavo abused with tenders

The current Health Minister (Halim Kosova) accused his predecessor
(Vangjel Tavo) of abusing with the medicine tenders for the Tirana
University Hospital Center “Mother Theresa”.
Kosova says that the preliminary data of the interior audit held at the Health Ministry have shown that many medicaments are bought with a price that is five times bigger than the referring list of the ministry.
Kosova says that many tenders have been canceled for this reason, and this means that the agreements with the pharmaceutical companies when Tavo was Minister have also been broken.
“240 million ALL tenders have been returned due to violations. I will cut all the illegal connections that do not allow the state budget money arrive to the patients. The budget is made to cover all the citizens’ needs. Everyone who has abused will receive what he deserves”, Kosova declared.
