By the end of a five-day inspection at the Puka Court, the High Council
of Justice hands over to the Minister of Justice the report for former
judge Stjefen Lleshi, who was found violating rules in a series of
cases.
The Vice Secretary of the HCJ has signed a document that invites the Minister of Justice, Nasip Naco, to be present in the next meeting of the HCJ with a disciplinary prosecution request against Lleshi, whose names was reported in the video-scandal on Fiks Fare.
Inspectors have verified procedural violations that start with delays in giving the arguments of a verdict, and that continue with delays of trials for five cases. Shtjefen Lleshi is currently suspended with an unanimous decision of the HCJ members, right after the running of the video which showed corruption in the justice sector.
While the Prosecution asked for his arrest, together with six other people, the Court of Appeal softened the arrest measure to house arrest. The former President of the Puka Court, Shtjefen Lleshi, is accused for corruptive affairs together with a former prosecutor and former officer of the court police, who were all released.
The Head of Penal Defending Lawyers, Saimir Visha, brought to attention the fact that while the protagonists of the corruptive scandal in Puka have been released, lawyers and secretaries are still in prison.
Some of these judges have been released due to some medical reports given by doctors who proved that their health conditions were bad.
For this, the HCJ asked the Health Ministry to verify the data about family doctors who give suspicious documents that are later used in penal cases.
