Haradinaj: “We’ll form a ‘government of action’ by being a majority”

One day after the Kosovo citizens voted in favor of the “war-coalition”,
the parties led by former Kosovo Liberation Army commanders, Ramush
Haradinaj spoke on Top Channel’s “Top Story” with Sokol Balla.

Haradinaj, candidate for Prime Minister of Kosovo, coming from a coalition between the Democratic of Kosovo (PDK), Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Nisma, said that he will be able to form a new government with the support of other Albanian political forces.

“I am working to form the government. The Haradinaj government will have support from other Albanian Parliament Members. We can make coalitions with other parties as well. We have not consulted them yet, but it is possible”, Haradinaj said.

According to Haradinaj, citizens are unhappy with the way the country has been governed so far. He said that this was shown by the vote of this Sunday, when the former ruling party was punished harshly.

“This is a very new political circumstance in our country. The groups are a novelty as well. Our coalition was also a novelty. The entire political scene has changed a lot. We won the elections, we are 10% more than the second place. However, the Self-Determination Movement has grown. The LDK has lost voters. This is the reality”, he said.

Haradinaj added that in a national scale, their coalition has increased. He says the coalition is very solid, while he plans to give Kosovo a “government of action”, as he called it.
