Rahovec, Kosovo’s city known for wine and agriculture, was chosen by the
leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, as
the place to start his electoral campaign.
The candidate of the political group known as the coalition of KLA leaders, said that Kosovo farmers will receive assistance from the government.
Haradinaj was Prime Minister of Kosovo, from where he went to Hague. After returning from France, facing another challenge with the justice, he said for Top Channel that Kosovo has basic needs for which he will take care, since there have been several stalemates.
“There is a stalemate in economy, a useless distance created between the government and farmers, entrepreneurs and people who work in Kosovo. We need to create a closer connection with everyone who has a job, and we must alos connect our people in the diaspora with the works that are done here. These are basic matters which should be treated right away”, Haradinaj said.
Haradinaj said he wants good relations with neighbors, dialogue with Serbia, but his focus is on the relations between Albanians.
“Belgrade has no role in Kosovo. Cannot decide for Kosovo. We want dialogue with our neighbors. We want to strengthen cooperation in Tirana. We want to do this in all areas of life. We want to continue with what is foreseen by the EU, free movement and a higher frequentation of ideas, people and goods. We want to focus on these principles of the EU. With Serbia we are neighbors and if they respect reciprocity, we are going to respect it as well”, Haradinaj said.
The motto of his campaign is that it is about time to make Kosovo a proper state, without having it labeled with Brussels.
